What's Working: Jésabel DC
You life's digital organizer you didn't know you needed RIGHT NOW.
My friend Leanne Citrone introduced me to Jésabel DC when I was setting up my Substack and ran into some major complications with ownership, emails and back end nonsense. Leanne, the most organized woman in the world (have you seen her fridge org before/afters?) swears by Jésabel to help organize her digital life so I was excited to work with her and learn what she’s all about. By the time our session arrived, I had figured out how to fix my issue - so we spent the hour reviewing my work around, she confirmed I had done it correctly and then we talked about what she does. Subsequently, I have sent her to friends who need help fixing stuff here, but more importantly - SHE IS FREAKIN COOL AF.
Jésabel is a digital organizer who helps people get their digital lives in order: from inboxes and calendars to files and daily workflows.
Through hands-on sessions, she helps clients organize their inboxes, calendars, files, and notes into one cohesive system, so they always know what they’re doing, where things live, and how to move through their work. I really do need to book time with her for this!
Productivity is the byproduct – but the real goal is helping people feel better inside their digital lives: less overwhelmed, more clear, and actually in control of how they move through their day.
I was chomping at the bit waiting to find out What’s Working for her. I also MUST book time with her to DO ALL THE BELOW!

STACKED (THE NON-NEGOTIABLES)
What’s in your stack right now that’s actually working?
My inbox. It’s the first system I build with clients because the shift is instant – chaos to clarity in under an hour. Most people don’t need a better tool, they need a calmer system to work inside of.
What’s the one thing you wish you’d started sooner?
Using my calendar as a life-building tool. If it’s not scheduled, it doesn’t exist – including your personal life. This is what I fix with clients: your time should reflect your life, not just your workload.
What’s the best thing you’ve added to your stack this year?
Designing my digital spaces to feel good to be in. Bigger text, visual cues, less noise – it changes how your brain moves through the day. Most people are working inside environments that are constantly stressing them out and they’re not even realizing it.
OVERRATED / UNDERRATED
What’s completely overrated in wellness right now?
Productivity app culture. Most tools create more noise than they solve. I spend a lot of time undoing overly complicated systems for clients.
What’s underrated—something no one talks about, but really works?
Early 2000s tech design. Simple, visual, no chaos. I recreate that feeling in modern systems so people can actually think again.
What’s one “boring” thing that works better than all the expensive stuff?
Turning notifications off. Most people don’t realize how much of their stress is coming from being constantly interrupted.
THE WEIRD & WONDERFUL
What’s the weirdest thing in your stack—but you swear by it?
My Totally Spies-inspired color-coding. The brain understands color faster than words – so I design everything to be felt before it’s read, and the bright saturated colors make things feel so fun, even when they might be stressful.
What’s the most unglamorous thing in your routine that works?
Taking time to organize my files properly. It’s boring, yes. But once your digital environment is structured, everything else moves faster.
HOW DO YOU TAKE A MICROPAUSE?
What’s your favorite way to take a micropause (a real reset)?
Leaving my digital environment entirely. Most of the time, when we’re stuck, all we need is distance.
What’s the quickest thing you do that instantly makes you feel better?
Closing every tab I don’t need. Instant mental clarity. It also helps me feel like I’m “done”, which is a hard feeling to get in the infinity of a digital space.
GIVE ZERO FU*KS
What’s something you’ve completely stopped caring about?
Being productive. Optimizing every second of your day. Most of my best work happens when I’m not forcing it.
What would you tell your 20-year-old self not to waste energy on?
Thinking you’re the problem when your environment isn’t working. Most of my work is just redesigning the environment.
What’s something you used to obsess over that doesn’t matter anymore?
Having everything perfectly organized. Now I focus on making things easy to navigate.
What’s one thing you refuse to feel guilty about now?
Not responding instantly. Constant access isn’t natural. Also, all my notifications are turned off except phone calls, so I build the boundary into my digital system.
